Finally. all my gifts are made (except the tokens I was going to make for the amazing women I work with, and the finger puppets for Eliana).. Now my list of gifts for me..
*My MIL bought me yarn for the Mariah and as much as I can’t wait to get started on it, I’ve got tons of work to do in the mean time.

*Finish the Coronet.

*Knit a shawl for R’s cousin (Spencer’s mommy) Cherie. She’s a new kntter and she loved my alpaca shawl. So I bought her some cascade 220 in a sweet soft pink (hey, it’s what she wanted).. but now I just need a pattern.
Ah, well i can use my ‘pattern a day’ calendar, or the “stitch a day” calendar that I got from R for christmas. :)

*I also was gifted Felted Knits, a subscription for Interweave Knits and some lovely sock yarn/needles from my equally lovely MIL. So much fun to be had here, folks!

*I also recently stumbled upon Rogue and I want to knit it more than anything… patience, my sweet, I’ll get to you soon, so very very soon.

Finally, knitting for me! December 31, 2004

Coronet… begun! Posted by Hello

Well, we were stranded at O’hare airport for a little more than 24 hours, so I spent a lot of time knitting. I started on some socks with Cascade fixation that i got from my MIL for Christmas, but I decided I wanted to make them with smaller needles than I had on hand, so I used some of this gorgeous Cascade 220 left over from her Clogs to start the Coronet for me! I love it! I hope I finish it before the predicted snow storm next week (although it probably won’t happen!).

MIL’s felted clogs Posted by Hello
These are the felted clogs for my mother in law.. I also made her some gorgeous cabled socks, but failed to take apicture of them… just like I failed to take a picture of any of the slippers, clogs and mittens I made for the rest of my family. SO.. all that work for nothing! Oh wait, not nothing… ;) I’m hoping I can get them to email me pictures, but if not, I’ve learned my lesson! Photograph before wrapping!
