First, I have to tell you about Aunt Mary. Aunt Mary is Ryan’s aunt, although we all wish we had one. Aunt Mary is everyones favorite aunt. She cooks like nobody’s business and bakes anything and everything you could ever imagine, including the BEST monkey bread (which I always call Monkey balls). She also can knit. When I say Aunt Mary can knit, I mean, this woman can KNIT with a captiol K. She knits faster than anyone I have ever seen. She can knit a baby sweater in like…. 20 minutes. (ok maybe not, but still), and she has knit so many baby sweaters, I dont’ think she even needs a pattern anymore.
So… when we found out we were having a baby, we were looking forward so many cute, sweet things lovingly made by Aunt Mary. Well folks, they arrived yesterday!
How cute are these soakers? There are several sizes, so baby butt will be cloaked in Aunt Mary love for many months (maybe even a year or two!) to come! And aren’t the little ties so cute? i have no clue how she did the little round things, but I love them!
This little green sweater has the cutest palm tree buttons… Ryan said it reminded him of Mexico… although if we go back to mexico, the babe won’t be wearing this sweater… it’s a little too warm for that!
This whole little set is beyond cute. Super soft.. and look at the booties!
Again.. so cute I could die. The little hat with the ear flaps! The booties! The pom poms! gah! I could die from the cuteness!!!
This little sweater is jsut about small enough for a newborn. I LOVE the bright red color, and again with the booties!!! Can you tell, I love booties?
Thank you Aunt Mary for all of your amazing work, and all the love you put into it! I wish everyone had an Aunt Mary…. but I don’t think we’re gonna share you with too m any people (although, you could make a mint if you opened a store!). We love you so much!
One last thing… I was having a braxton hicks contraction the other day, and when Ryan felt it he said… “your belly feels like an Uncle Joe belly”… Only Ryan’s family will know how funny that is…. and it’s oh so true!
